This was a Nice Hotel the staff were Always pleasant, Good value for Money as I stopped midweek for 3 days Early Season, The prices were a little High 2 glasses of Coke nearly £8 I thought was not really a good idea for families on a Budget. Overall a VERY NICE PLACE.
Nice and relatively small hotel (24 rooms) within a larger holiday resort, with pool, restaurant and all kinds of activities. Great welcome at the reception. Recommended to visit with the entire family. The food in the restaurant is great and very tasty. The rooms are clean. The only thing missing in the room was artificial sweetener for the coffee and tea, so we had to use our own.
We arrived late and left early, the overnight manager was charm personified. Very happy to help. A shame we couldn’t open a window in the room, and some well placed power sockets woulda been useful to this working bloke.
We stayed at the caravan site clean and peaceful not much of entrataiment but ok staff really nice prices on drinks on the high side overall not yoo bad
We had not realised that the hotel is part of a holiday park full of mobile homes and chalet bungalows, but despite the surprise the hotel is just as you would expect. We visited the night before starting a cruise and it is very well placed for easy access to Dover. We asked for extra coffee and milk in the room and they arrived swiftly and cheerfully. We will be very happy to visit again if we are in the area. One point of information, there is no lift to the upper floor, no problem for us but would be for some people. There is an onsite pub restaurant next to the hotel.
The other day I marked this Parkdean Resort with a 3 overall. On further reflection, I've decided to give it a 5 star overall. The staff were really, really lovely and helpful throughout our stay. If I had a query or problem - it was sorted out almost immediately. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the "no hot water" as my friend boiled the kettle to wash the dishes and didn't "think" to let me know from day 1 - the lack of tap pressure and hot water. Plus I showered at the pool centre every day after swimming! My apologies This was my 7th Parkdean Resort holiday and the food was again, well presented and tasty! Well Done Chef. Special "Shout Out" to Lisa and Karen. You're both perfect receptionists!
The room was very clean and comfortable. The TV was a "smart TV" but wasn't connected to the internet. I don't know if this was on purpose or an oversight but I just connected to my phone's hotspot and it worked. As with most of these hotels the corridor between the rooms rely on the other patrons being quiet during the evening.. (I don't like drunks lol). The room was on the ground floor and so we had patio doors which we could open and, if it was warmer, I guess we could sit out on. There is a gym and swimming pool which looked nice. The shop is more like a large cupboard for essentials really. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was very tasty. Overall a good place to stay
We came here second time. This time sauna and steam baths wore working. We had a nice evening meal at the restaurant. Amazing food. You should try the Karu chicken curry or steak, pancakes. Thank you to the chef. Lady serving in the bar and young man serving the food were very service oriented, courteous and excellent. We would come back again. Natalie Tee provided an excellent singing session. Enjoyed it.
